The team clothing order looks like it will be on the same schedule as last year. With the order being due late December and shipped early March in time for the race season. This gives us enough time to accomodate new sponosors and still have the clothing in time for the first races of the season. Start thinking about your orders now. Early indications are that Voler's pricing has gone up a little. We should know more about that and the details on a team meeting as winter rolls around.

The Dent Wizard Junior Team along with a few other select attendees held the 2nd annual team picnic at Mike Taylor's house on Sunday, September 23rd. Many thanks to the Taylor family for being wonderful hosts and allowing us to gather at their home. During the party many of the racers could be found in the swimming pool.

After everyone filled there stomachs with delicious BBQ, Mike Braun recognized each rider's accomplishments from the year. The team had many riders complete their first year of racing and many experienced racers were able to "cat up" during the year. Congratulations to everyone once again. Any junior rider that was not able to attend please contact Mike Braun to make arrangements to pick up your goodie bag containing a T-shirt, hat, and a couple other goodies.

On Thursday July 26th the Dent Wizard squad along with team sponsor Alan Hautly will present a check to Children's Hospital. The money being donated by Hautly Cheese was raised earlier in the year at the Hooked on Health expo where DW riders earned money for Children's Hospital with every minute they spent riding trainers. The entire team will meet at 6:00pm at Maplewood Bicycle to get organized. They will leave around 6:30 and ride through Forest Park to Children's Hospital to present the check and pose for a team picture. Charter is scheduled to be on hand to provide TV coverage of the event. So on Thursday the 26th be on the look out for the blue and white DW train riding through town.

With some help from his teammates Logan VonBokel won the Illinois State Criterium Championship. After finishing third in the state road race the day before, Logan was determined to wear that IL State Champ jersey. The Dent Wizard Juniors rode very well as a team and did everything they could to help their Illinois teammate. Great job Logan and the entire DW team!

Martin Lang lead the way for the Dent Wizard squad by winning the Junior race at Sundays Webster Groves Criterium. The heat didn't slow down any of the races, the racing was fast the entire day. Luke Pirtle went to work in the Cat 3 race and got paid by out sprinting the rest of the field to win two primes. Matt Fickinger had a strong showing in the Cat 5 race and ended up finishing 5th. Way to go Matt, Luke, Martin and the rest of the Dent Wizard team for another great performance.
